NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS.
■Mr. Hamilton's letter arrived too late for insertion. We must impress on our correspondents that we cannot insert letters delivered later than Wednesday evening. It is just as easy to write a letter on Monday as on Friday. In future, all communications to the Editor of the Lyttelton Times must be left at the office before Wednesday Evening, or at Mr. Bishop's, Christchurch, before 4p. m. on that day, in order that they may be inserted in the Paper of the following Saturday. We shall, at all times, be happy to receive communications on matters of local and general interest. We do not, however, undertake to hold ourselves responsible for the sentiments and opinions of those who may favour us with their communications.
