MISS ROWORTH begs to inform the Ladies and Gentlemen of Christchurch and its vicinity, that she is about to open a DAY SCHOOL FOR YOUNG LADIES in Christchurch. Miss R. undertakes to instruct her Pupils in Reading, Writing, and Ciphering ; Geography, Grammar, English and Scripture Histories, &c.; also Plain and Fancy Needlework« Miss R. will have room in her Establishment for a few Boarders. Extract from the Proceedings of the Committee of Management of the Canterbury Association, held the 24ith day of September, 1852. Resolved, —" That the Committee desire to record their entire satisfaction with the efficient manner in which Messrs. Filby & Co., and Mr. Joseph Stayner, have conducted all business confided to them as Brokers of the Association, from the commencement of their Shipping operation,—and their acknowledgment for the attention they have invariably paid to the Interests of the' Association, as well as to the comfort and convenience of the passengers on board their ships; and that this Resolution be communicated to the above Gentlemen."
