The Cucumbers exhibited by Mr. Watts Russell, were very fine—the largest measuring 23 inches in length; the culture of them does great credit to Mr. Russell's gardener, John Macgillioray, " The Perlargoniums, Seedlings, of Mr. Brittan, were much admired.' ' The Native Grasses, 25 varieties, shewn by Mr. W. Wilson, and tastefully arranged in a box, excited much attention, as also those exhibited by Messrs. Torlesse' and H.. Ward, as dried specimens in blotting paper. The Exhibition has been so successful, that it is proposed to have another about the beginning of March, at which time it is expected that a show for live stock, Wool, and Agricultural productions will be united -with it; thus carrying out the original design with which the Society was formed, namely, that it should embrace Agriculture as well as Horticulture.
