Wakefield, Esq., Capt. Harvey, T. Cass, Esq., W. Fendall, Esq. 1. Anniversary Plate, for all horses; £3 entrance, with £ added, (one-third of Racing fund clear of expenses). Heats, twice round. Weights: 3 yrs. old, Bst. 61b. ; 4 yrs., 9st. 61b.; 5 yrs., lOst. ; 6 yrs. old and aged, lOst. 41b.' The winner to pay £l towards the expenses of the course. 2. Christchurch Cup, for all horses ; £2 entrance, with £ added, (one-fourth of Racing fund, &c.) Twice round, over 6 sets of hurdles, 3ft. 6in. high. 3 yrs. old, Bst. 61b.; 4 yrs., lOst. ; 5 yrs., lOst. 71b.; 6 yrs. and aged, 11st. The winner to pay £l towards the expenses of the course. 3. Hack Race, for all horses that have not run in either of the two preceding races ; £l entrance, with £ added, (one-sixth of Racing fund, &c.) Catch weights. Heats, once round. 4. Cart-horse Race, for horses that have really worked regularly in a cart during 3 . months previous. 10s. entrance, with £ added, (one-twelfth of Racing fund, &c.) Catch weights. Once round. 5. Consolation Plate, for horses beaten in any of the above races ; to be handicapped by the Committee. £l entrance, with £ added, (one-sixth of Racing fund, &c.) Twice round. For either of the two first races, entries must be made with Mr. E. J. Wakefield, at the Royal Hotel, Christchurch, before 5 p.m., on Tuesday, 14th instant. Post entries for the other three races. In all cases, three to start or no race: second horse to save his entrance. The Committee will follow the rules of the Wellington Jockey Club. Racing to begin at noon punctually: half-an-hour between each heat. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Committee to be final. It is particularly requested that no Dogs will be brought on to the Course. N.B. Jockeys carrying more than 21b. above their weight, must declare the same at least half-an-hour before the race, or will be considered distanced, eyen if they win. COM3IITTEE FOR OTHER SPORTS. Settling day for the payment of prizes and bets, to be on Tuesday, 21st inst., at the White Hart Inn, Christchurch.
