NOTICE, THE following Gentlemen have been duly proposed, or have duly signified their intention of offering themselves as Candidates for election as members of the Council of the Society of Land Purchasers, at the next meeting of the Society to be held January Ist, 1852:- — Messrs. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Public Meetings of the Inhabitants of the Settlement will be held on Thursday, January Ist, at 3 p.m., at the White Hart Inn, at Christchurch, and on Friday, 2nd January, at 6 p.m., at the Mitre Hotel, at Lyttelton, for the purpose of taking into consideration the best means of completing the road communication between the Port and the Plains. NOTICE. ~ "VTOTICE is Hereby Given, that a ■^ PUBLIC AUCTION will be held by Mr. Alport, at the Association's Store, Lyttelton, on Tuesday, the 6th of January next, 1852, at 12 o'clock, for the sale of TOWN LAND in Christchurch and Lyttelton, when the following Sections will be submitted to public competition, subject to such conditions as shall be then and there produced. In Christchurch, Six Half-acre Sections, in Six Lots, numbered on the Canterbury Association's Map as follows: 386, 387; 837, 835; 833, 831; 887, 889: 829, 827 ; 892, 894. In Lyttelton, Seven Quarter-acre Sections, in Seven Lots, numbered on the Canterbury Association's Map as follows : 91, 129, 102, 105, 169, 170, 171. IN consequence of some Persons having feloniously killed some of the Cattle of Mrs. Sinclaiu, of Ciaigforth, Pigeon Bay, she is under the necessity of giving Notice, that all persons trespassing upon her Cattle Run, which extends round the heads of Pigeon Bay and Port Albert to the Maori Reserve in the latter place, will be prosecuted. NOTICE. T\EPREDATIONS having been commit- -*-' ted on Riccarton Farm by persons who have come upon the land upon various pretences, notice is heukby given that after this date, all parties found on these grounds without permission from the proprietor, will be prosecuted, and the most rigorous proceedings will be taken against those who are found with any of the stolen property on their persons.
