Parties desirous of purchasing any particular section, may have the same included in the list of those for sale, by making application in writing to that effect, at the offices of the Association, either at Lyttelton or Christchurch, on or before the 24th December next. To give effect to such application it will be necessary to deposit the upset price of each section, viz. 24/., for the half acre section in the capital, and 12/. the quarter acre section in the Port Town, at the Union Bank, Lyttelton, to the credit of the Canterbury Association, on or before the same day. TT IS REPORTED that unlicensed per--1- sons have recently been cutting and removing Timber, particularly from Her Majesty's Forests in Banks' Peninsula, by which they have made themselves liable to heavy penalties, Notice is therefore given, that, according to Government Regulations, Annual Timber-Cut-ting Licenses (commencing the first day of each year) can only be obtained by applying for them, in the form prescribed, to the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Middle District, Middle Island.
