Adelaide Markets, September s.—Flour and Geain. — Flour, 201. to 211. per ton, Wheat, retail, may be quoted at 7s. 6d. to Bs.; Barley, Cape, 75.; English, Bs. to Bs. 6d.; oats, 7s. 6d.; bran, Is. Bd.; pollard, Is. lOd. The quotation for Cape barley is nominal, there being none in the market. Bread.—4d. the 21b. loaf. Cattle Market, (Wednesday.)— There were only forty beasts, and little over 1,000 sheep in the market to-day, the prices for both may be quoted as before, namely, 12s. to 13s, for sheep of good quality, and the beasts at 13s. to 14s. per 100 lbs. Hay, 6/. per ton ; Straw, 20Z. 10s. per ton. Vegetables.—Potatoes, per cwt., 7s. to Bs.; Cabbages, each, 2d. to 4d.; Turnips, per dozen, 6d. to Bd.; Carrots, per bunch, 3d. to 4d. ; Onions, per lb., 4d. to 6d. ; Shalots, perlb, Bd.; Green peas, per peck, 2s. 6d.; Cucumbers, Id. to 3d.each ; French Beans, Bd. perlb.; Scarlet Bunners, 6d. to Bd. per lb. ; Celery, per head, 4d. to Is.; Water Cress, per bunch, Id. to 2d. Dairy.—Butter, per lb, Is. Bd. to Is. lOd.; Cheese, per lb., 7d. to lOd.; Milk, per quart, 4d.; Eggs, per dozen, Js. 6d. to 25.; Pork, per lb., Bd. to lOd.; Westphalia Hams, per lb., Is. 3d. to Is. 6d.; Bacon, Bd. to lOd.; Colonial Hams, Is. to Is. 3d.; Fowls, per pair, 2s. 6d. to 45.; Pigeons per pair, Is. 6d. to 2s. ; Ducks, per pair, 4s. to 65.; Turkeys, each, ss. to 10s.; Geese, each, ss. to Bs.
Hobart Town. August 15. —Wheat is at 10s. per bushel, oats ss. and bailey 7s. per ditto. Potatoes are 31. ss. per ton, onions, very scarce, prices firm at 23/. to 24/. per ton. Hay, 51. 10s. per ton. Flour, 251. per ton. Colonial potted butter, wholesale, Is. 2d. per lb. Fresh ditto, scarce, Is. 4d. per ditto. Eggs, Is. 2d. per dozen. Lattnceston, August 13.—There is no alteration in the market since our last. ' Wheat remains at 1 Os. firm. A parcel was disposed of at 10s. 3d. at three months. About tea thousand bushels have changed hands at 10s. Flour 251. per ton without bags. Oats, ss. 3d. Barley, of which there is scarcely any in the market, is worth 7s.
