This valuable Horse was imported into the Canterbury Settlement in July last by Thomas Colglough, Esq. His sire was the celebrated horse " Sam,,' imported into Van Dieman's Land by the Colonial Government, and his dam an imported Cleveland mare. Some of the finest stock, both at Port Philip and Van Dieman's Land, have been bred from the above Horse, and he is remarkably quiet and goodtempered. Also, THE HIDING HORSE " COCKEY," well known in the Port Philip District as one of the fastest trotters and best leapers in that colony.
