They have also opened a Register for SERVANTS, or Persons wanting employment, and pledge themselves by every possible enquiry and Advertisement to meet their views in as short a time as possible. By kind permission, letters may be left as follows :— Lyttetton. — The Canterbury Association's Offices ; Mrs. King's, 4, Esplanade ; Mr. JBeamish's Store ; and the Mitre. Chnstchurck. — The Land Office : Mr. Alltcn's Store; Mr. Gouuj's Store; and the White Hart. Days op Depasture. Christchtjrch : —Monday, Wednesday, Friday. 10 a.m, and Saturday, 3 p.m. Lyttei/ton;—Tuesday,Thursday, and Saturday, 10 a.m. Letters and Messages, 4d.; Parcels charged by weight and Size. N.B. Letters delivered to the address specified within one mile of the church. In addition to their Register for Servants, they have opened one for those parties who may have apartments to let, or willing to supply board and lodging; and no charge is made till a tenant is secured. Auction and other sales attended for parties who from distance or otherwise are unable to attend. Writings copied, and every description of accountant business done. jV/TESSRS. HAYDEN and BALMER -*-*-■- desire to recommend— Two young Girls as General House Servants, (5 and 6 a) and A young Gentleman (three years accustomed to fanning) as an assistant on a farm -. the highest testimonials given (7 a). Ladies and gentlemen would do well to consult them when they stand in need of servants, as none but those of good character will be recommended from their office. And to parties desiring employment they offer many and great advantages. Messrs. Hayden and Balmev have to dispose of, by Private Contract, a Wooden-framed Canvas-covered House, situated on a town section in Christchurch. for the sum of £20. At present apply to Mr. Hayden, at Mrs. King's, Norwich Quay, Lyttelton.
