TO LAND PURCHASERS IN THE CANTERBURY SETTLEMENT, j NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that the Canterbury Association are now in a situation to convey to the first body of Land Purchasers the Selections of Land they have made in pursuance of their respective Land Orders, as also the Town Sections to which they are severally entitled. Holders of Land Orders are requested, at their earliest convenience, to notify by letter to the Land Oifice, whether they would prefer the whole of their Land conveyed to them by one Deed, or a separate Conveyance for each Rural and Town Section. The Association intend to convey the Land by reference to a Map on the back of the Deed, and the expense to each purchaser will be 10s. for each Conveyance. Before any Conveyance will be delivered, the original Land Order must be produced and given up. By order of the Agent of the Canterbury Association, W. G. Bbixtan. "T^OTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to -*-^ Parties importing, or intending to import, Sheep to this colony, that the strictest scrutiny will be exercised in the inspection, and not only will a heavy penalty be inflicted on all sheep landed with scab or any other contagious disease, but the full penalty of 100/. will likewise be inflicted for any diseased sheep, or flock of sheep, found depasturing on any part of the peninsula, or any other land, the same not being the property of, or rented by the owner. Shepherds having charge of sheep, known to be diseased, are'actionable if any of the said flock are allowed to stray, or are found dead and left in the way of contaminating other flocks. John T.
