NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that a Public Meeting of all those who are de- I sirous of joining in the establishment of a Public Beading-Room, will be held at the Association's Offices, at 7 o'clock on Wednesday evening, the 28th inst. The object of the Meeting is to enrol subscribers, to appoint a Committee of Management j and officers, and to make the necessary arrangements and regulations. The room which lias been offered by Mr. Godley for the purpose of a Reading-Room is now nearly ready, and will contain a part of the books belonging' to the College Library, which will be placed at the disposal of the subscribers to the Reading-room, under certain regulations. A MEETING will be held at the Land- ' office, Christchurch, on Thursday next, the 27th instant, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of taking the necessary steps for tlie establishment of a Public Reading Room, at which the attendance of all persons disposed to forward the object in view, is particularly requested. "VFOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that -*-^ the Canterbury Association are now in a situation to convey to the first body of Land Purchasers the Selections of Land they have made in pursuance of their respective Land i_OriJsrs, as also the Town Sections to which they are severally entitled. Holders of Land Orders are requested, at their earliest convenience, to notify by letter to the Land Orifice, whether they would prefer the whole of their Land conveyed to them by one Deed, or a separate Conveyance for each Rural and Town Section. The Association intend to convey the Land by reference to a Map on the back of the Deed, nind the expense to each purchaser will be 10s. ' yar each Conveyance.
