The land selected for a Church, Parsonage, and School, is contiguous, and in the distance on the other side of the splendid harbour, are rich and picturesque mountains, on which large flocks of sheep and oxen are depasturing, which affords a plentiful supply to the inhabitants of Lyttelton and its vicinity.
