PETITION TO THE QUEEN. A COPY of a petition, now in course of ■ jCa- signature by the inhabitants of all the Australasian Colonies, for the immediate cessation of Transportation to Van Diemen's Land, lies for signature at the Land office at Lyttelton. The Canterbury colonists are earnestly requested to consider the grievous injury that would jiccrue to them and their posterity, should New Zealand continue exposed to the influx of escaped convicts from Van Diemen's Land. He begs to state, that having lately commenced the Nursery business, under the management of a person of great professional experience, both at home and for ten years at Wellington, he is in hopes of being able to supply articles likely to give greater satisfaction thau from any other source, and upon moderate terms. He would remark, that the Apple Trees are warranted free from blight, a condition under which they cannot be procured from Hobart Town. Communications addressed to him at the ■Wellington Nursery will be punctually aus* ■weved.
