Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association with 324 members, had last year an income of £2,737, which was nearly all expended. Mr Allen will read a paper this evening, at the Mutual Improvement Association, on Sir Walter Scott. All lovers of the gifted author should not fail to be present. And yet another old settler has gone after a residence of more than 40 years aniongst us. Mr Borell died yesterday near Te Puna where he resided. He leaves a large family of the first, second and third generation.
