The Open Sailing Boat Eace, time aEowance 20 seconds per foot, postponed from Eegatta day, came off this afternoon, and proved an exciting event, the first three boats keeping very close together all through the race and at the finish there was only 40 seconds difference. The Hiria (23ft lin) came in first, Toanui (20ft) second and Eliza (19ft lOin) third. The first prize falls to the Toanui, and the Eliza gets the second. The Consolation Eace did not take place as there was only one boat entered.
