This Dav. Great satisfaction is expressed amongst the Volunte«rs here at the sueeess of the representatives at W ellington, and arrangements aie being made to give them a suitable reception on their arrival on Monday next. Great preparations are now being made for the Easter encanrpment, at Papatoetoe, the Volunteers go into canip on Good Priday morning, and remain till Monday night. A eomplimentary benefit is to be given to the jgreat violinist Eemenyi, on Tuesday next. The Eev. Mr Spurgeon's lecture on "brighter times," at the Theatre Koyal last night, was a great success, the building being crowded, and the Tabernacle fund substantially benefited. The gardners Horticultral Show was opened to-day, at the drill shed and promises to be great success, there being a large number of exhibits.
