This day.

Further evidence was taken yesterday, in the charge against Thomas McKenzie, mate of the vessel Janet Ramsey, for attempting to murder the captain hy throwing him overboard. The evidence showed that the captain called the man a liar, and the latter made a rush at the captain, who went over the side, accused at once called out "the skipper is overboard." The charge was dismissed.
