Mr J obn Harrigan, of Oamarau, wbo bad goneto Dunedin witb tbe intention of entering tbe Hospital, was found dead in bed on Wednesday morning at the Leviathan Hotel. Tbere was an unusually large nuniber of visitors and members at tbe Mutual Improvement Association, last nigbt, to bear tbe paper on tbe late General Gordon, by tbe Rev Mr Slade, and all wbo attended bad tbe pleasure of listening to sometbing above tbe average. A vote of tbanks to Mr Slade was porposed and carried by acclamation.
