"Wednesday Night's Star says: — "Ve understand tbat a Dunedin gentleman, who has seen service during tbe American war, sent a telegram to His Excellencey tbe Governor, offering tbe seryices offif ty men for tbe Soudan without bounty. He guarantees tbat they would be ready to depart in tbree weeks, and tbat within tbat time tbeir number would be doubled."
