Q,uite a host of tourists arrived this morning and proceeded per Bobertson's coaches to the Lakes. Last night, Mr Walker, M.HR. for Ashburton, addressed his constituents, and was accorded a hearty vote of thanks and confidence on the nrotion of the proposer and seconder of his opponent at last election. Large attendanee of visitors at the Mutual Improvement Association last evening. The Chairman announced that vistors would be welcome every Thursday evening. Mr H. L. Harston has shewn us the programme for the concert which takes place on Thursday next, it consists of twenty well arranged items, and is without doubt the best that has been put before a Tauranga audiencefora lotg time. We feel sure that those who attend will get value for their money full and overflowing, besides aiding a good object. We hope to see a bumper house. Anyone desiring reserved seats will do well to secure them at once.
