Miss Eortescue, the pretty actress, ^ho recently obtained £10,000 from Lord Garmoyle for breach of promise of marriage,has again become engaged to Hariy Quilter, the bank clerk and musical critic, whome she jiltedforthe aon of Earl Cairns. Quilter has been a faithful and persistent suitor and re-
newed his offer of marriage to Miss Eortescue last summer, long before it was certain she would ever get a farthing from Lord Cairns. lt is understood, however, that he is perfectly willing to accept the damages as |his bride's dowry.
