This Day. The following are the correct figures received from the loan agents : — The total amount tendered for was four million one hunired and thirty thousand pounds. Tenders at £99 6/6 receive 65 per cenh The average price of the loan was £99 10/1. Mr Andrew Y oung the well-kown coach proprietor, has served a writ on Mr N. Reid (of Messrs W. and G. Tarnbull and Oo.) claiming £5,000 damages f jr slander, and defamation of the charaeter of the plaintiff and his wife, by woris spoken concerning them by the wife of the defendant. The cook of the Arawata (Laing), who fell down the hold of the vessel, is dead.
