LONDON,
January 7. The German residents ia New Britain have sent Home orders for the construction of two steamers. The rules of the Africaii Annexation Conference propose that notice be given to the Powers to guarantee an adequate controling authority over the territory annexed. New Zealand is pledged to only borrow an additional million and a-half until April 1886. The homeward mails per Orient Steamer, from Melbourne dated Noy 29 was delivered yesterday.
