NOT FIT TO DRIVE.
MOTORIST PINED (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. ‘‘This man is not fit to drive a car,” said Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M., when fining George Gillies, of Petonc, £25 and prohibiting him from driving till 31st March, 1930, on a charge of driving a motor car in a dangerous manner. A constable stated that two children had been struck by the car and injured slightly. A witness considered Gillies was drunk at the time of the accident, but sobered up before reaching the police station. Defendant stated he had had only one drink.
