ILLEGAL VODKA
SUPPRESSION IN RUSSIA. LONDON, Feb. 15. The Riga , corespondent of the Times says January was a most profitable month for the police in their campaign against illegal distillers of vodka, Fiqes amounted to £IOO,OOO .and the money was taken from 50.000 peasants. Twelve thousand stills were seized and 723 litres of vodka were cither spilt or confiscated.
