Mr F. E. Parker, who has been absent iu the South Island, returned to Levin to-day. The Rev. J, D. McArthur returned to-day. from Christchurch, where he has been attending the Methodist Conference. The Rev. R. P. Keall, f of Carterton, will shortly be transferred to Woodend, Sefton, while the Rev. B. .J. Liddell will 1111 the vacancy caused by the transfer of Rev, Keall. The names of eight women appear in a new list of Justices of the Peace gazetter last night. Those are:—Mrs. A, E. Cochrane, To Kuiti; Mrs. E. A. Colons, Palmerston North; Mrs. P. Crabb, Palmerston North; Miss Ge. A. Ihrew, New Plymouth; Miss B. M. Harband, New Brighton; Miss C. K. Henderson, Riccarton; Mrs. I. M. C. Jones, Hamilton; Mrs. A. Watson, Nelson.
