A couple of romancers were disrussing' the up-to-date . gadgets on their respective cars. Said one: “My petrol gauge is a very ’cute ' invention. It shows a different coloured light' at ■ three-quarters* ..half and quarter-full tank, and, mark you, it actually sounds .a buzzer when only a few miles’ supply of petrol remains in the tank! ’■ “Ahs, it is ’cute,” said the other,, “and I may tell you I have the same gauge on my car. but it has an additional clover, in ; fact, almost human, piece of mechanism whieh automatically stops the car at a petrol-filling station when the tank gets below quarter-full. ’ ’
