FAVOURABLE PROGRESS OF SALVAGE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, This Day. • The divers are sanguine of success in the salvage of the whaler C. A. Larsen. When the patching is completed she will proceed to Port Chalmers for repairs, and instead of returning to Norway will re-commission in New Zealand, for next year’s expedition. Gear and stores are being brought out by the James Clark Ross, which is leaving for Norway, via New York, tomorrow, taking a portion of the C. A. Larsen’s crew. A further detachment will join the steamer at Wellington for Home.
