Robert Joseph Draper, aged 17, was arrested on Saturday night after jj. motor car he was driving had careered into the safety zone and thence nearly on to the footpath, just missing Mr McLevy, Inspector of Police for the Auckland district. Draper was charged in the Police Court with converting a car to his own use, and negligently driving a ear, causing injury to David Thompson, who is now in hospital. He was remanded in-custody to March sth, his counsel saying that Draper suffered from St. Vitus’ dance.
