WEDDINGS.
HOOKER—McLEAN. On February 22nd, at the Levr.i Church, the marriage took place of Annie May McLean, yougest daughter of. Mr. and Mrs Hector McLi'ini of Princess Stioet, to Charles Cyril, only son of Mrs and the lute Mr. Hooker. The Rev Crocket performed the ceremony. The church had been nicely decorated in creme, pink and mauve by friends of the bride. Mrs A.'Prouse officiated at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, looked very sweet in a •a frock of cf crcine chepe-de-ehine, with a hand-embroidered veil and the usual orange blossoms. She carried a beautiful bouquet to tone with her frock. The bridesmaid, Miss Dorothy Hooker (sister of the bridegroom) was daintly attired in pink crepe-de-chine with hat to tone; and little Joan Jacques (niece of the bride) was Jiower girl, ,in mauve eiepe-de-ehiiie. Both carried flowers to match their frocks. The best man was Mr. E. Day (uncle of che bridegroom). After the cciemony a reception was held at Mr Williams's tea rooms, the guests being received by the bride's parents and bridegroom's mother. The happy couple received many useful presents which will always remind them of their Levin friends. The wedding cake, which was a beautiful piece of work, was given to the bride by Mr. 'lt. Hughes. The bride travelled in a violet frock, with hat and coat to tone. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Hooker will be at. Masterton. HAYMES—PARSONS. The marriage was solemnised at the Methodist Church, Levin, recently of .Mabel Eunice, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs James Parsons, of Levin, to Red vers George Charles, only son of Mr., and Mrs Walter Haymes, of Wellington, by the Rev. J. I). McArthur. Mr E.E. Upton, of Wellington, was ;ii the organ, and the church had "been tastefully decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory georgette, with a knife-pleat-ed skirt, trimmed with line cream silk lace, while her veil was held in place with a crown of cream pearls and orange blossom. She carried a shower bouquet of roses and carnations and maiden-hair fern. Miss Emma Parsons, sister of the bride, and Miss Gladys Cheetham, of Kamvhata, Palmerstou North, who acted as bridesmaids, wore frocks of Biskra and French blue crepe antoinette, trimmed with silk lace, respectively, and crinoline straw hats with shower bouquets to blend. Mr. W. J. Look, and Mr. R. W. F. Balehin, both of Wellington, filled the positions of best man and groomsman. The mother of the bride wore black crepe-de-chine, while the frock of the bridegroom's mother was of blue crepe-de-chine, and both carried bouquets. Afterwards, the reception was held at the home of the bride, where musical items were rendered by Miss Flossie Haymes and Mrs E. S. Upton. The happy couple, left later for the South, •the bride wearing an almond green costume, and a golden fox fur, a present, from the bridegroom.
