J At Saturday's meeting of the Horowhenua County Council, the Chairman (Or Monk) made reference to a rather important matter—a schem© of superannuation for country workmen; Ete thought suoh a scheme-was. possible bv the co-operation of local bodies, witli the _asfsistance of the Government and ■■he did not think that it was too lute' for even their okiier workmen to join ' the scheme.
