Adulterated Milk.
HEAVY FiNE INFLICTED, , At the Levin Court on Thursday six charges were preferred against 0. T. Easton, milk vendor, (Shannon, on the information of J~. H. Cowdrey, Inspector under the Food and 35ruga Act. • The charges were (1) On August '17 at Shannon, he sold milk adulterated _ with water, the package in which euch milk was sold not having printed thereon a true description of "the compositionof sucili milk; (2) having sold milkatUil. , terated with water: "(3) and (4) Selling adulterated mffik, the package in which' such milk was sold not liavulg printed thereon a time description of the composition of such milk; (5) and (6} t3el{t ing milk adulterated, with i^ftt£r. J. H. Ccyu-drey ' that ho saw defendant on August 17 and lie said he milked his own cows and carted his own milk. Witness took samples as pre scribed by the Act. Convictions were recorded on all itlie charges and defendant was fined. £25 and costs 34s ou the first change '«ad was ordered to pay costs, in the others, amounting in all to £2 9s.
