The many friends of JTonald Cameron —to his intimates more familiarly known as "Dougal"—will bo sorry to learn of his death. He wap Trilled in nctiibn on the Western ftx>nt on the 9Wi September. His relatives were advised of the sad fact by cable last week:--■He • was an old Levin boy and left Now Zealand on 'February■ 8, 1915, wHJhi the * Rifle 'Brigade for active service abroad. - iH© served' in Egypt, was through tha first offensive on the Somme m I&IP. alnd was there wounded, spent several months in' Hbppifcal/in Englandi, returned ito France and was again wounded ■■ li'ii the Messines battle, again'being hospitalled in England. ;He met his fate in the- more recent fighting. Itogald will be truly mourned by IhSs family and• his large eircle'of Natives: and; friends in the 'Horowhenua Disrtirict will be ' deeply sorry to hear ffiat he has answered the laafc Roll Call. Has; name will be added to till© ever-lengtheniing list of those gallant New ZealandeirS who liave made the .supreme sacrifice in tlie great struggle for liberty. -
