Palmerston Show.
T'he prize -schedule for the Manawatu Spring Show is now available and may be had on appliaction to the Secretary of the Association, Box 85, Palmerston North. The programme carefully revised is, in its diversity and scale, befitting the importance of the event, which, is now regarded as the nearest aproach to a Royal Show obtainable in this country. An exceedingly generous allocation of prize moneys with the usual sprinkling of trophies ig offered, and affords an extensive choice for show exhibitors, covering Competitions, Horses (light and heavy), Oattle, Sheep, Bigs, Fleece Wool, Photography, Needlework, Cook, ery and School Divisions.. We have not space to fully review the .list, but may mention' one particularly fine prize, v,iz., a set of furs valued at thirty guineas for the be«t lady rider (astride). This should prove a .great attraction to lady riders inasmuch as no jumping is necessara. Another splendid prize is a straight out win of fifty guineas for the Champion Jumper. The other divisions are also well ca-" .tered for. Entries for the Schools, Photography, Needlework, and Cookery Classes close on October 5. For the Competitions, Live Stock and Fleece Wool classes entries close on October 12. Write to tihe Secretary now.
