Received this day, 12.55 a.m. New York, September , 9. The New York Times Peldn correspondent states that an anti-opium agitation is developing. Strong interpellation* and addresses were given in Parliament concerning the revival of the trade. The Minister for the interior replied that the American Redi Cress applied' for and the United States confiscated opium for medical purposes. The reply is considered an evasion in Parliamentary circles.^
