» — Wellington, September 6. The N.Z. Farmers' Distributing Co. Ltd., report: Table potatoes are at the moment not over plentiful with prictis still fairlj firm. Oats of all descriptions are at present in demand and supplies arc not too plentiful with values firm. Maize as in short supply with prices sli. ghtly advanced. Ryegrass is now being asked for at high prices. Cocksfoot is in good demand and especially machine dressed samples, high prices being asked. Fowl wheat is being offered in limited quantities with prices firm. Pork is still exceptionally scarce and any lines coming forward are bought up readily. Eggs are now fairly plentiful with prices firm. .Honey in bulk is not being offered; in any quantity at present. Cabbage® are swn realising high prices with supplies not over large. Cauliflowers are fairly plentiful with rates remaining 4rm. .Carrots are ait the moment in good supply with prices slight, ly easier. Onions have been slightly more plentiful during the week and prices a little- easier. White Turnips are fairly plentiful at the moment with low prices ruling. Lettuces axe now m good supply and prices have eased considerably. Beetroot is still fairly plentiful witli figures easy. Spring onions have not been quite so plentiful with vahies a little advanced. Parsnips are still coining forward in good quantities with j> rices firm. (Marrows are also in fair supply with low rates ruling. Swedes are still plentiful witlh low prices. Pumpkins are offered in small quantities with prices firm. Celery is not over plentiful and! values remain | firm. Leeks are still in good s»PPb' with quotations on a par with last week's.
