The annual bazaar held by the St. Mary's Ladies' Guild will ta-ke place on November 19 and 20 next when the function will follow the nsual_ lines. A big stock of saleable articles will ho offered and there wil bo some interesting competitions.

Tho fortnightly meeting of tlie Horowhenua. Lodge of Druids was held on Wednesday evening, Bro. Akenson. A.3X. prci-iding over a good, attendance of members. One new member was initiated! and one elected by elearance from the Bnller 'Lodge. A vote of sympathy was passed to Bro. Akenson, whose wife is seriously ill in til)c Otaki Hospital, with hest wishes for her speedy recovery. It was decided to; again open a. fund for supplying tobacr' co to membens at -the front at Christmas time.' The next meeting of the Lodge will be held on Thursday, September 19.

Tiio many friends in Levin of 'Mrs Oliver Walton will be pleased to hear that she is now convala-cent and left the Palmerston Hospital 011 September 31st. She is at present staying with friends at Avrapuni before coming back to Levin.

Amongst the Levin men wounded in the recent fighting were Lieut. W. N. Seiver.s, son of Mr lx. Seivei's; Pte, O. Retter, son of Mrs M. ißettor; and Corporal A. Thome, whose wife has re. ceived word that her husband lias been wounded in the jaw and is in a hospital.
