The great Canadian orator, W. D. Bayley, 8.A., of Winnipeg, (has fully lived up to his .high reputation, for tho New Zealand Pircßs sing his praises in superlative—for packed audiences have listened to him niglilbly, and the news. papers are high in tihieir praises of his wonderfully' interesting and informative platform powers. The Wanganui Opera House wan packed long before 8 p.m., tho stage and orchestral well being also overcrowded, and hundreds stood throughout the whole address, whidiithe Wanganui Heraldl described as most interesting and forcible, the huge crowd being gripped right to the oWI. The Taranaki News report features ohe breezy, entertaining side of Bayley, who kept the audience i;n happy mood with his catchy style and sta'ries fresh and apt.
"Loiul and pro-longed, applause" says the Hawera Star, "followed a great speech to a large assemblage in Hawera. At Fe.ildin,g Bay'tey sustained his higli reputation, the Foil ding Star commenting on the big meeting describing Baylcy's speech as "rippling -with humour, and in appeal irresistible." liavley's strong sane labour views are an, additional attraction in this unique visitor's address, amply evidencing liis prominent and definite labour _ position as vice-chairman of the "Winnipeg Lahour" Party.
