Patriotic Soceity.

The regular monthly meeting of the Levin Patriotic Society was held last week at the Borough Chambers. Present —Messrs C. Blenkliorn (chairman), B. R. Gardener, F. O. Smith, W. Hu glies. Mrs B. R. Gardener, and Mr C S Iveedwell, the lion, secre tary. Apologies for noil attend ance were received from Mr and Mrs P. W. Goldsmith, both of whom were indisposed, also, from Mr D. S. Mackenzie.

The Department of Internal Affairs wrote advising the Society to take no action till further ad A-ised in connection with an appeal latelv received from an English organisation seeking to assist the Belgian soldiers. (Continued on page 4.)
