The Admiralty announces that 134,159 tons of merchantmen were completed in the Ignited Kingdom in June compared with 197,274 fons in May. The total for the year ending- June 30 is 1,431,150. The Controller of Merchant Shipbuilding comments: "It is encouraging to note that, the tonnage of merchantmen completed in the United Kingdom for the quarter ending June -30 shows an increase of 78 per cent over the corresponding quarter of 1917."
