Wellington, June 28. The N.Z. Farmers' Distributing Co., Ltd., report: J he potato market has been ra„ner dull during the week with jji-tces tirni. The oat market is qiiiei with quotations firm. Maize is in fair supply just- at the moI nient with prices unaltered. CockI still remains firm with a few small lines ottering. Pig meals are still scarce and values high, x' owl wheat is at the moment fairly plentiful and good samples arc selling at satisfactory rates. Pork lias been rather short in supply during the week and quotations remain firm. Eggs are in rather short supply just at present with values high. Honey has been slightly more plentiful during the w'cck and selling at good prices. Cabbages are still in short supply and realising fair rates. Cauliflowers are in short supply and bringing fair prices. Carrots are coming forward in good quantities with low figures ruling. Onions are not so plentiful and prices have accordingly advanced. White turnips have been in good supply during the weeks with low quotations ruling. Lettuces have been slightly more plentiful and realising good values. Beetroot is still in good supply with quotations easy. Spring onions are in god supply and satisfactory figures are being- realised. Parsnips have been fairly plentiful with tail- prices. Marrows are in good supply and are selling only moderately well. Swedes are also in good supply with prices low. Tomatoes arc now practically off the market. Pumpkins are still in good supply and realising fair values. Leeks have been coming forward in good quantities with prices well maintained. Artichokes are still plentiful. Rhubarb has not been quite so plentiful with satisfactory prices. Dessert apples have not been so plentiful during the past day or two and prices have advanced slightly. Cooking apples are still in fair supply with fair rates ruling. Pears (cooking) are not so plentiful with prices firm. Potatoes, prime £8 10s to £9. Cabbage, choice os to 4s sack. Cauliflower, 9s to 9s 6d sack. Carrots, best 2s to 2s (Id sack. Onions, £10 to £12 ton. Turnips, white Is to 2s sack. Lettuce, choice 3s to 5s case. Beetroot, 3s sack. Spring onions, 9d to Is bundle.
