Wellington, June 14. The N.Z. -banners Distributing (Jo., Ltd., report: I The potato market has been fairly active during the week with pries firm. Oats are in fair demand |it present with quotations hrin. Maize is in fair supply with high rates ruling. The ryegrass market is dull with prices unaltered. Cocksfoot is still firm with small parcels offering. Pig meals are still scarce with high prices ruling. Fowl wheat at the moment is fairly plentiful and where good is selling at high rates. Pork is still fairly plentiful with values firm. Honey lias been a bit more plentiful during the week and is selling at satisfactory prices. Eggs have been in rather short s ; iipply during the week with prices firm. Cabbages have been in rather short supply and prices have advanced considerably. Cauliflowers are still short and realising satisfactory prices. Carrots are coming forward in good quantities and prices are satisfactory. Onions are not quite so plentiful and figures have advanced _ slightly. White turnips are in fair supply with prices firm. Lettuce are fairly plentiful and realising satisfactory prices. Beetroot is still plentiful with low rates ruling. Spring onions are also in good supply with satisfactory prices ruling. Parsnips are now coming forward from the South Island and realising satisfactory prices. Marrows are still plentiful at low figures. Swedes are also plentiful and selling at low rates. Tomatoes are now in short supply and any offering are realising good figures. Pumpkins are still in good supply and where the condition is satisfactory prices are fair. Celery is in good supply with fair values. Leeks have advanced slightly owing to supplies not being quite so plentiful. Artichokes are still plentiful. Rhubarb is in fair supply and selling at satisfactory prices. Dessert apples have beenin fair supply during the week with prices slightly advanced. Cooking apples have also slightly .advanced in price. Pears (cooking) are still in good supply and satisfactory prices are being realised. QUOTATIONS. Potatoes, prime £8 10s to £9. Cabbage, choice 5s to 8s sack. Cauliflower, 12s to 20s tsack. Carrots, best 4s to 6s 6d sack. Onions, £9 10s to £10 ton. Turnips, white 4s sack. Lettuce 2s 6d to 4s 6d case. Beetroot, 2s 6d to 4s 6d sack. Spring onions, 8d to lOd bundle, j Parsnips, 5s to 8s 6d sack. Marrows, 2s 6d to 3s 6d sack. Swedes, 3s cwt. Tomatoes, 8s case.
