The Lake.
At a meeting of tlie Lake Domain Board last evening there were present the Mayor (in the chair), Messrs France, Dempsey, » Broadbelt, Parker, Aitken, Hanita and Epairania Puki. Mr Mcintosh wrote sugesting that when the boat shed was re-erected it be made two feet longer, thus making it :>") feet by 20 feet, and after a short discussion this was ' agreed to. The Secretary (Mr B. U. Gardener) said Mr Whitaker had been unable to make a start witli tlie re-erection of the shed on account of pressure of business. The question of planting some portion of the Domain was discussed, but no decision was come to. The following .donations have been promised or paid in connection with the re-building of the boatshed on tho Lake Domain: W. M. Clark 6 0 0 A Friend 5 0 0 H. B. France 2 0 0 .T. Ryder 1 0 K. Frechling 10 0 W. B. Macintosh 1 0 0 T. Jenman 1 0 0 A. Dempsey 10 0 S. A. Broadbelt 1 0 0 Double the amount received is ; needed to Complete the work and vhe Domain Board would solicit further donations.
