The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., Ltd., report: At the Levin yards on Tuesday we offered a medium yarding of both slieep and cattle. Competition was good and a clearance, was effected at the folowing rates: Fat wethers 35s 6d, fat ewes 31s, small 2-th wethers 21s 7d, small lambs 10s 7d to 13s 7d, forward condition cows £6 15s to £8 Is, store cows £3 16s to £6 155,, 18-mos steers £7, 10-mos. steers £4 lis Od, 1~mos. Jersey steers £2 ss. Messrs Abraham and Williams report: At Levin on Tuesday we had small yardings of stock, but, a ready enquiry for both lines was forthcoming. Light fat ewes 28s; store ewes, 15s, 18s; cull ewes, 8s 7d, 10s; woolly lambs, 17s; medium lambs, 15s; small I lambs, 9s 4d to 12s lid; small mixed 2-tooths r 21s; .. fat cows, £12 ss; vealers, £3 6s; forward cows, £8 15s; store cows, £4 12s 6d, £6; cows close to profit, £12 10s to £16; porker pips, 39s 6d 475, 60s, 635; stores, 8s to 15s Od.
