St. Mary's Church.

The annual meeting of St. Mary's parishioners was held in (lie Schoolroom last evening, the Rev. W. Ford-Hutchinson presiding over a fair attendance. The report and balance sheet were presented and adopted after some discussion. The balancesheet showed that the finances were in a sound condition. The secretary, in his report, mentioned, inter alia, _ that the expenses for the coming year would be heavier than heretofore and would entail greater liberality on the part of the parisbionhis address the Vicar asked forihe co-operation of all during his temporary holding of the position. ' The number of communicants during the year was 1111. A vote was taken on the question of woman's suffrage in the Church and after some discussion a favourable motion was passed unanimously. _ A motion that a bill be_ introduced into Synod _ constituting the Parochial district of Levin a Parish was also carried. The Vicar nominated Mr Sidney Hall as his "Warden, and Mr N. C. Holdawav was elected People's "Warden. The following were elected a Vestrv: Messrs 0. H. Pvke, F. G. "Roe, S. Grilling, H. E. Porter, "R. G. Lester, W. M. Beckett, W. G. Vickers, W. Heudra, T. Hohsou, and H. J. .Tones. The meeting concluded with votes of thanks to tlm different ladies who took part in the various works connected with the Church. and the Vicar thanked <he Lay Readers for their assistance.
