Wellington, April 5. The N.Z. Farmers' Co-opera-tive Distributing Co., Ltd., report : During the week North Island potatoes have been coming forward in fairly large quantities and prices have been well maintained. The oa,t market is still showing an upward tendency with prices hardened. Maize is now more plentiful and prices have slackened slightly. There is still a good demand for ryegrass at satisfactory prices. Ccoksfoot is still in sliort supply and high prices are ruling. Pig meals of all descriptions 'are practically unprocurable. Poultry is fairly plentiful and where good prices have been satisfactory. Fowl wheat is in fair demand and selling at high prices. Good quantities of pork have arrived during the week and prices are good. Eggs a,re still exceptionally scarce and are selling at high prices while honey is again in sliort supply and good prices can be secured for first class quality. Cabbages have been coming forward in fair quantities and realising good prices. Cauliflowers are in fair supply and_ where tory. New Zealand onions are fairly plentiful with satisfactory prices ruling. 'White turnips have come forward in good quantities during the week and prices are slightly reduced. Parsnips are now coming forward in large quantities and prices are somewhat easier. Lettuce are also in good supply and are changing hands at satisfactory rates. Beans (French) are now going off and where the quality is alright goocl prices have been realised. Beetroot is in fair supply and prices are satisfactory. Marrows have come forward in good quantities and prices are highly satisfactory while swedes are fairly plentiful and are selling at reduced prices. Tomatoes are still coming forward in fair supply, the prices of which are good. Leeks are in fair supply and the prices of same are good. Celery is also selling well at fair prices. Pumpkins have been more plentiful during the week and therefore prices are reduced. Dessert apples of good quality are eagerly bought. Cooking apples are fairly plentiful with prices a little under last week's. Pears both cooking and dessert are in fair supply and changing hands at fair prices. Plums — the supply of same has been well maintained. Quinces are coming forward fairly plentifully and satisfactory prices have been maintained. Cape gooseberries have been sold during the week at satisfactory prices. QUOTATIONS. Potatoes, prime white £8 tot £9. Cabbage, choice 3s Gd. sack. Cauliflower, 10s to 12s sack.
