Ihakara-Koputaroa Patriotic Fair.
All arrangements are now .made for the Ihakara-Koputaroa Fair and stock and produce are coming forward in large quantities, ensuring a most successful function.
The Committee have decided to extend the time of the closing of the poll to ten o'clock on, the _day of the fair. The first count is to be made at five o'clock, the second at 8 o'clock, the third at 9 and the final at 10. Two cakemaking competitions for girls have been arranged, girls under 12 to make a sponge sandwich, and girls over 12 and under 18 to make a 21b fruit cake (iced). No entrance fee is charged and the cakes are to be the property of the Fair. Mrs Glassford has kindly donated two first prizes of 10s each and Mrs Duncum two second prizes of 5s each. The position of the Baby Queen candidates i has changed since the last announcement, Koputaroa being now . first, Ihakara second, Levin third and the Native baby fourth.
