1^ Wellington, Friday. Tlie N.Z. Farmers' Distributing Co., Ltd., report: Local potatoes are still coming forward in good supplies and prices liave naturally been low. Oats are still scarce and figures are advanced. Maize is in short supply on the spot" and satisfactory values are being realised, iiye grass is coining to hand in larger quantities but values remain tirm. Cocksfoot is in sliort supply and satisfactory prices are ruling. Pig meals' of all descriptions are exceptionally scarce and consequently advanced rates are ruling. Poultry is in fair demand with prices good. Fowl feed is in sliort supply. Pork is coming to hand in limited quantities and full values are being obtained. Eggs are scarce and prices, are likely to advance further. Honey is in demand at advanced figures. Cabbages are not so plentiful and prices have slightly advanced. Cauliflowers have been coming forward more freely and consequently values are lower. N.Z. onions are still in good supply with prices somewhat similar to last week. Parsnips are in fair demand at satisfactory figures. White turnips are plentiful. Lettuce is eagerly enquired for at late quotations. French beans are fairly plentiful with prices on a par with last week. Marrows are fairly plentiful with values lower. Swedes are still coming forward in large quantities and prices are lower. Tomatoes, owing to the sunshine and warm days experienced during the week, are coming to hand ,in larger quantities and prices are lower. There are still a few small parcels of green peas on the market but the quality is not too satisfactory. . Cucumbers are unsaleable. Dessert apples are.more plentiful but prices realised are satis" factory. Cooking apples are stil in fail 1 ; demand. Pears, both des sert and cooking, of good quality are easily disposed of. Quinces are coming in in larger quantities and naturally prices have slackened. A few lines of blackberries are also coming to hand for which good values have been obtained.
