Tlie ferns presented by Mr Kirk for competition among tlie an embers of the Levin Bowling C'hib were placed in tlie hands of Lancaster, Tate, ltev Harris and I'ol lock (.skip) to defend and on Saturday their possession was challenged by Ingram, Aplin, I'yke and Porteous (skip). After a good game the holders retained their trophies by 20 to 16.
Last night Porteous and Ingram challenged Bull "and Broughton for the Bowen Stars, and after a close game were defeated by 12 to 10.
