LEVIN DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. The Levin Defence Rifle Club fired its final competition for the second series of trophies on Saturday afternoon, trophies being kindly donated bv Messrs W. M. Clark, Sims, J. XV. Gibson, and the Ross Co. The day was fine but the light was somewhat dull, though fairly good for shooting. Rifleman J. Munro won the special prize given for the day wit)' l a score of 47 points out of 50. Rifleman ~\V. Ingram was runnerup with 40 points. Following are the winners oi the second series of trophies Rfm. J. Munro L Rfm. Rochfort 2, Rfm. S. Butts 3, Rfm. W. R. Ingram 4. Conditions for the final shoot were ten shots and s ighter at (iOO yards, and results were as follows :— J. Munro 47 — 47 W. R. Ingram 40 — 4(i S. Butts 40 5 45 Rochfort 31 13 44 E. lugra m 39 — 39 H. C. Ingram 37 2 39 ■L. Ingram 30 1 37 H. George 27 6 33 Following are the aggregates for the second series of trophies, best four competitions out of" six to count:— Rfm. J. Munro 176 Rfm. Rochfort 173 Rfm. S. Butts • 108 Rfm. W. R. The shooting committee of the Club will hold a meeting- one night this week to arrange competitions for the next series of trophies, shooting for which will start, next Saturday.
